Event Description: Intro to Defensive Shooting is a 3 hour class designed to introduce new shooters to the fundamental skills necessary for self defense with a handgun. Topics covered will include basic handgun safety, correct gear placement, proper grip, property stance, the Balance of Speed and Precision, intuitive sighted fire, lateral movement, the body's natural reactions to an unexpected attack, presentation from the holster, and other topics as time allows. Students will leave this class with an understanding of the fundamentals and a framework for continued training in context for a worst case scenario. 

What to Bring:

• Defensive Handgun
• 250 rounds of ammunition
• Reliable holster
• Eye and Ear protection
• Spare magazine (at least 1, more if you have them)
• Mag pouches (optional)
• Water source
• Pen and small notebook
• Weather appropriate attire
